• Michael Dafoe


    Michael joined the West K staff in March of 2019.  He has previously served at churches in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.  He has served as a Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor doing a variety of things within ministry and the church.  Michael is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education and Bible.  Michael is originally from Ohio.  He is an avid sports fan and enjoys both watching and playing a variety of sports and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines. Michael is married to Briana and they have a daughter named Amelia. They enjoy traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Michael and Briana are excited to be a part of the community here at West K and the ministry that is taking place here in Kalamazoo.




    Sue started at WestK as the office manager in 2008. Sue is also in charge of our Sunday Servants team that is responsible for greeting new people on a Sunday morning. She and her husband, Chris, have 2 adult children: Allison and Adam. Sue enjoys gardening and playing the guitar.



  • Joe Ludy

    Joe and his wife, Kim, have been members of West K for over 25 years. Joe currently serves as interim elder and is a member of the Missions Team. His wife, Kim, serves on the worship team. Both have been involved with the Children’s Ministry in the past. Joe and Kim have four children; two adult sons, Cameron and Collin who live in Grand Rapids, and two teenagers, Quentin and Vivian.

  • Isaac Ogola

    Isaac and his wife, Adrian, have been involved here at West K since becoming members over five years ago. Isaac is a member of the Missions Team, and Adrian serves in the Children’s Ministry. Together they serve as greeters on Sunday mornings. Isaac and Adrian have two daughters, Ruby and Reena.

  • Roberto Renteria

    Roberto and his wife, Michelle, have served in many different areas of ministry during their seven years here at West K. Roberto has served as deacon for the last two years and has done several jobs necessary to keep us well lit and well maintained. He and Michelle have two children, Natalia and Xavier.

  • Rick White

    Rick and his wife, Deanna, have been at West K for almost two years. They were members for many years before having to move to Ohio for Deanna’s job. When they returned to West K, they wasted no time to jump in and get involved. They serve in the coffee ministry and assist Deb Weststrate with the kitchen ministry. Rick and Deanna have two grown sons and a granddaughter, Charlotte, who they love spending time with.
